Nylon 66 (PA 66) · Sustamid 66®

Product details

A polyamide obtained from the polymerisation of hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid, it is one of the first engineering polymers produced. For this reason nylon 66 is particularly popular in the American and British markets. Compared to PA6 it is harder, tougher and more brittle. It is preferred over polyamide 6 when greater rigidity is required at the expense of resilience, along with good machinability on automatic machines.
